Während im Nahen Osten ein Flächenbrand droht, der Krieg in der Ukraine immer noch ohne Friedensaussichten weitergeführt wird, an vielen Orten der Welt Kriege stattfinden und weitere drohen, haben in Wacken wieder einmal 85000 Leute der Menschheit bewiesen, wie einfach es eigentlich sein kann, dass Menschen unterschiedlichster Coleur friedlich, frei und ohne Problem miteinander leben und feiern können. Warum zum Teufel klappt es in Wacken und nicht in der Welt? Ich kann es nicht begreifen.
Beim WOA aber wieder alles friedlich, jeder konnte seine persönliche Freiheit genießen, ohne andere damit zu limitieren.
Das Wetter dieses Mal deutlich besser bis gut und das musikalische Angebot wie gewohnt breit aufgestellt, so dass jeder seinen Spaß hatte.

Wir vom Hellfire hatten die Möglichkeit, 78 Bands zu sehen und abzulichten, so dass Ihr in den nächsten Wochen mit Bildern unterschiedlichster Bands und Sparten gefüttert werdet.
Aus Presse Sicht ein perfektes Spektakel, welches noch durch eine Besonderheit und große Ehre fürs Hellfire bereithielt: mit weiteren vier Pressevertretern hatten wir die Möglichkeit, mit WOA Macher Thomas Jensen einem Gedankenaustausch am „Runden Tisch“ beizuwohnen. Eine tolle Geschichte, die von Thomas seit der Corona Beschränkungen durchgeführt wird.
Und wie es so von Wacken gewohnt ist, ist nach Wacken, vor Wacken. Die ersten Bands sind bereits bestätigt. Hier die Pressemitteilung des WOA Teams:

Erste Bands für 2025
Am letzten Festivalabend kündigte eine bildgewaltige Multimedia-Show auf beiden Hauptbühnen die ersten Acts für das Wacken Open Air 2025 an, das vom 30. Juli bis 2. August 2025 stattfinden wird.
Gespannt sein darf man dann, was Gojira auf die Bühne stellen werden, nachdem die französischen Metal-Innovatoren gerade mit ihrem überwältigendem Auftritt im Rahmen der Olympia-Eröffnung in Paris weltweit für Aufsehen sorgten. Zum allerersten Mal werden außerdem die US-Rocker Papa Roach den Holy Ground zum Beben bringen. 34 Acts stehen bereits für das 34. Wacken Open Air fest, darunter Machine Head, Saltatio Mortis, Apocalyptica, Saxon, Within Temptation, Dimmu Borgir, Michael Schenker, Dool, Ministryund Beyond The Black.
Der Vorverkauf startet am Sonntag, 4. August um 20:00 Uhr unter metaltix.com und wacken.com.
Die Ticketpreise bleiben unverändert: Für 333 Euro bekommen Fans auch 2025 wieder jede Menge Musik und Wacken-Spirit. Wie schon in diesem Sommer können die Metalheads bereits ab Sonntag anreisen, sodass drei zusätzliche Tage auf den Campgrounds mit entsprechendem Rahmenprogramm auf die Gäste warten. Access-Pässe für eine stressfreie Anfahrt mit PKW werden spätestens ab Frühjahr 2025 angeboten und pro Fahrzeug (bis 3,5t) 33 Euro kosten bzw. 66 Euro für größere Fahrzeuge (ab 3,5t), unabhängig von der Personenzahl.
Fans können sich bereits jetzt auf wacken.com für eine eigene Mailingliste registrieren, um über alle Modalitäten des Vorverkaufs informiert zu werden. Der Ticketpreis bleibt sowohl beim auf 10.000 Stück limitierten Faster Ticket, welches mit einem limtierten kostenlosen Faster Ticket-Bundle Shirt daherkommt, als auch beim normaler Harder Ticket stabil bei 333€!
While a conflagration threatens in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine is still going on without any prospects of peace, wars are taking place in many places around the world and more are imminent, 85,000 people in Wacken have once again proven to humanity how easy it can actually be for people of all kinds to live and celebrate together peacefully, freely and without any problems. Why the hell does it work in Wacken and not in the world? I can’t understand it.
But at WOA everything was peaceful again, everyone could enjoy their personal freedom without limiting others.
The weather this time was much better to good and the musical offer was as usual broad, so that everyone had fun.
We at Hellfire had the opportunity to see and photograph 78 bands, so that you will be fed with pictures of a wide variety of bands and genres over the next few weeks.

From a press point of view, it was a perfect spectacle, which also had a special feature and great honor in store for Hellfire: together with four other press representatives, we had the opportunity to attend a “round table” exchange of ideas with WOA creator Thomas Jensen. A great story that Thomas has been telling since the corona restrictions.

Wacken, August 4, 2024 – The 33rd Wacken Open Air is drawing to a close. Impressive performances by Korn, Amon Amarth, Scorpions, Architects, In Extremo, Suzi Quatro and Blind Guardian will resonate for a long time to come. A total of over 200 artists performed on nine stages. 85,000 metalheads from all over the world celebrated the most spectacular metal party of the year in almost constantly sunny weather.
For the first time, a new access concept made it possible for fans to arrive at the camping areas from the Sunday before the official start, allowing them to breathe in the Wacken air for almost a full week.
“Our new access pass system was extremely well received by the fans,” says organizer Holger Hübner happily. “Not least because of this, there were no traffic jams on arrival! We will build on this next year.”
The police agreed with this conclusion, praised the smooth arrival without traffic jams and were also very satisfied with the security situation on site. The emergency services, fire department and the responsible public order office also drew a positive conclusion. The former recorded only around 3,500, mainly minor, cases of treatment over the entire duration of the festival until Saturday afternoon, pointing in particular to the assistance of security in the stage trenches, where no injuries occurred, and praising the cooperation between the various trades and authorities.
Organizer Thomas Jensen comments: “We can’t stress it enough: We have the best fans in the world! All the better that we were able to experience a sun-kissed W:O:A with them this year with countless great concerts. For us, it was an all-round successful celebration of the global metal family, which we naturally want to surpass next year.”

Ticket prices remain unchanged: For 333 euros, fans will once again get plenty of music and Wacken spirit in 2025. As this summer, metalheads can arrive as early as Sunday, so that three additional days on the campgrounds with a corresponding supporting program await the guests. Access passes for a stress-free journey by car will be available from spring 2025 at the latest and will cost 33 euros per vehicle (up to 3.5 tons) or 66 euros for larger vehicles (3.5 tons or more), regardless of the number of people.
